Memoshot for Android

Terms of Use

Effective · Last updated

These terms are an agreement between you and Dvexo (“we”, “us”) about your use of the Memoshot Android app (“the app”). By installing or using the app you accept them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app. How we handle data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

1. Your license

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on Android devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in line with these terms and the Google Play Terms of Service. The app and its design, text, graphics and code belong to Dvexo or its licensors; open-source components are used under their own licenses, listed in the app under Settings → Open-source licenses.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • copy, modify, resell or redistribute the app, or remove its notices;
  • reverse engineer or decompile it, except where the law allows this despite this restriction;
  • bypass the purchase of Pro or interfere with the ads in the free version (for example by generating fake ad clicks);
  • use the app to break the law or other people’s rights, including privacy rights in screenshots you take of others.

3. Memoshot Pro

  • Pro is a one-time purchase through Google Play. There is no subscription. The price is shown in the app and on Google Play before you buy and may differ by country.
  • Payment, receipts and taxes are handled by Google Play under its terms. Refunds follow Google Play’s refund policies; you can request one through Google Play. If a purchase is refunded, Pro features are turned off again.
  • Pro is tied to the Google account you bought it with and is restored automatically when you reinstall the app with that account.
  • Pro currently includes no ads, extra folders to read, custom cleanup rules and text export. We may add features; if we ever remove a Pro feature, we will offer a reasonable alternative or a refund where the law requires it.

4. Your files and the trash

  • The app never deletes a screenshot on its own. Cleanup only suggests screenshots; you decide what to remove and you are responsible for the files you remove.
  • On Android 11 and later, removed screenshots go to Android’s trash first. You can restore them for about 30 days in the app (“Recently trashed”) or in your gallery app; after that, Android deletes them for good.
  • On Android 8 to 10 there is no system trash: screenshots you confirm are deleted immediately and can’t be restored by the app.
  • Text recognition and automatic categories can make mistakes. Check important information (codes, amounts, dates) against the original screenshot before relying on it.
  • Keep your own backups of screenshots that matter to you.

5. Ads in the free version

The free version shows ads provided by Google. We don’t control the content of every ad. Ads and consent are described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Updates and availability

We may update the app to fix problems, add or change features, or comply with Google Play rules. Some updates may be required to keep using the app. We may stop offering the app; if we do, the app on your phone keeps working with the data on your phone as far as Android allows.

7. No warranty

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that the app will be error-free, that text will be recognized correctly, or that every suggestion is right for you. Some countries don’t allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Dvexo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, files or profits, arising from your use of the app, including screenshots you chose to remove. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the claim (or zero if you only used the free version). Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law where you live.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in your local courts where the law allows.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date above shows when; for important changes we will also mention them in the app’s release notes. If you keep using the app after a change, the updated terms apply.
