Delete your data
There is no Memoshot account, and we keep nothing from the app on any server. Everything is on your phone, so you can delete it yourself.
Delete what the app has read
- Open Memoshot → Settings.
- Under Indexing, tap Clear index and confirm.
This deletes all text, categories, codes and amounts the app found. Your screenshots aren’t touched. The app will read them again unless you also remove photo access (Android Settings → Apps → Memoshot → Permissions).
Delete everything
- Uninstall Memoshot: this deletes the index, settings, recent searches and caches. Or keep the app and use Android Settings → Apps → Memoshot → Storage → Clear storage.
- The index and settings are never part of phone backups, so nothing comes back when you restore a backup. Consent choices stored by Google’s ad SDK may be in your Android backup; clearing storage removes them from the phone.
Your screenshots
Your screenshots belong to your gallery, not to Memoshot: uninstalling the app doesn’t delete them. To remove screenshots, use Cleanup in the app (you confirm each removal) or your gallery app.
Reset or delete your advertising ID
The free version shows ads from Google, which uses your device’s advertising ID. To reset it or delete it: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (on some phones Settings → Google → Ads). To change your ad consent, open Memoshot → Settings → Privacy choices. Data held by Google is managed under Google’s Privacy Policy.
Purchases
If you bought Pro, the purchase record belongs to your Google Play account and is managed by Google. Google Play gives us the order details required for tax and accounting; they aren’t linked to anything stored by the app.
